lyrics
Stale and old with no reason to get in control
My deepest thoughts will always be the same
I`m worried about the leaders
i`m worried about our loss
And the shape of the whip that hit and leads our souls
Face the frauds of their illusion turn it off and get your own
It's deranged and complicated when all that shit is pouring down
Safe and sound with no reason to touch solid ground
My deepest thoughts will always be the same
But i´m worried about the cheaters
And i´m worried about their hold
And the weight of the words and and the shit is getting really old
Face the frauds of their illusion turn it off and get your own
It's deranged and complicated when all that shit is pouring down

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
I recently sold off hundreds of my album collection, and am now down to two crates that I can't live without.
Among the remains, ALL of Secret Machines... Looking forward to The Moth Lizard album! Bart Furp
